Must have been nice having a carefree childhood. Shit I was abused physically and verbally by my mother which made me awkward which made me an easy target for bullies. My life was a nightmare. I needed to get out of bed to be beaten, to go to school to be beaten, before going back home to be beaten. Then I'd go to bed where I'd feel safe but shitscared of falling asleep because of what was waiting tomorrow. Anyway, I am an adult now and my current life is going very well, so I am very happy. But these things leave scares. All this to say that I hope you know how great your childhood was if that was your biggest problem, and that I am happy for you.

Either I had a shittier childhood than I thought or people really romantisize theirs for whatever reason.. I mean back when this was a problem, I also had to deal with the school bully everyday that me and my team always had to avoid. The concept of death was a new stress and I couldn't stop the mental void that sucked my spirits every night before sleeping. There was the dog from my neighbours (that had bitten a girl my age so bad she had part of a thigh missing) who continually seemed to find ways to escape to the street I lived in. And that's just some I still remember. I much prefer my life now, that's valid for high school too.
